About our Group

The UCSB Social Computing Group is a joint initiative of the University of California’s Transliteracies Project and UC Santa Barbara’s Center for Information Technology and Society (CITS) and Credibility and Digital Media Project. Particular topics of study include: social computing technologies, information credibility (new socio-technological mechanisms of authority, quality, and trust), and collective action.
